Black Veil Brides

The Black Veil Brides are a glam metal, post-hardcore band. In most of their songs the metal comes from heavy guitar and lots of symbols like in the song “Knives and Pens.” Associated with screaming the fast paced music is a type of sound, well, that makes people dance. But it isn’t dance music. These songs consist of lead vocals, bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, violin, and drums.

The Black Veil Brides were formed in 2006. The band members are Andy Biersack (lead vocals), Ash Purdy (bass, back up vocals), Jake Pitts (lead guitar), Jinxx (rhythm guitar, violin), and Christian “CC” Coma (drums). Their first album, We Stitch These Wounds, was released in 2009 and them embarked on their tour titled “On  Leather Wings.” Their second album, Set the World on Fire, was released in 2011. The album’s title track was planned for use in the movie Scream 4, but when they found out it was not going to be used they released a statement and an extended song preview. In 2012 their album Wretched and Divine was released and their song “Unbroken” appeared on the soundtrack to the movie The Avengers.

MY VIEW: I have just recently starting listening to Black Veil Brides introduced to me by a friend who really enjoyed them. I like them too. I am into that sort of face paced music and well yea, I like them. I would recommend them to someone. My favorite song is “Knives and Pens.” Yup that’s my overall view.
